It's really just easier to work on than a terminal board. It won't really make much of a difference as far as sound goes. Sorry Cur, I just saw your post. No we didn't play anything for Spectra at Lincoln. We did play at the Lincoln on August 1st though. It was an awesome show! The instructor was saying that the next class he'd like to build a reverb unit. I might sign up for that one too. I would think that they would have more than one of these classes going at a time.
The class is all finished up now and the amp sounds awesome! I'm about to post some more pics in here in just a second too.
UPDATE:
The amp is done and it sounds so good! I still have to finish the cabinet for it but as soon as I finish that up I will do a demo so you guys can hear the amp itself as well as the amp run through an extension cabinet.
Here's the amp, the unfinished cabinet and the speaker. The speaker is a Jensen MOD 10-35. The cabinet needs the holes for the screws filled over and then sanded and then I'll be tolexing it.
Here's the cabinet with the screw holes filled over. By the time it dried it was too dark outside for me to sand it. Hopefully I'll be able to do that tomorrow.
