Geesh dude that attitude reminds me of those stickers rednecks put on their trucks with a mischievous kid taking a piss on the logos of competing automakers. This thread didn't even have anything to do with Gibson.
Also, I wish the cliche of equating gear with boners and jizz would stop.

me too... in sunburst, I'll have it by the end of the year that's for sure... I'm gonna put my Jagmaster neck on it.
Whoa. Can you do that? Like, are we talking conversion neck, 25.5", or vista 24"?
If it is a true 24" neck, you will see people buying up these guitars just for the necks. I am assuming it's 24" scale like the CIJ Jaguar HH. Is Squier the only one using Conversion necks?

When you work in guitar shop that pays far too much attention to Gibson and every pathetic minute detail is fornicated over (& neglect Fender).... this is a breath of fresh air. !! It just so has it that I'm meant to be at a Gibson evening tonight but I just can't face it ! *sigh. The amount of Epiphone repairs I've faced has been ridiculous. I don't wanna go anywhere near the head of Gibson Europe and pretend I believe their patter.
I own a Jag with a humbucker in the bridge and standard pup in the neck, and consequently I miss the jazz scale length, so this is perfection. I didn't think Fender could reach such levels so soon. I've been waiting for this. Up until now, the classic vibe series has been exciting. But I think they've taken it to a new level ! SO what's so bad about that ? I'm excite. I thought I'd show my gratitude in the same vain as shortscale but perhaps this has been misconstrued... I apologise. A bottle of wine gone and a great new series of guitars has done this to me. & what ?
I like the idea of that Jazzmaster but the tuxedo color scheme makes it look cheap.
I wish fender went all out crazy with these and offered them in Grafitti Yellow with BWB guards or like Aqua Firemist with Parchment, or some shit...

While it's not the Jazzmaster I'd want, I think Fender have done a great thing here: made it very affordable, stuck with the neck JM pickup (best neck pickup of any guitar, after all...) and sensibly replaced the (frequently less often used) bridge pickup with a humbucker, which'll get used an awful lot. And they've kept the trem (as they should). I reckon these will end up like a more expensive Squier 51; people will pick them up as modding platforms.
This is what the Sonic Youth Jazzmasters should have been like.
...which is a shame. it could have been soooo cool but just... isn't. i like the jazzmaster though, i'd consider buying one if i had some spare F-oldin'.

Nailed it.

I want to know if the jazzmaster is routed for a rhythm circuit underneath the guard. I'm guessing these are going to be mim so it wouldn't make sense to have twp different bodies. I have a loaded black picard sitting here and avri pickups, and my dream jazzmaster is black I sunburst. Thank youuuuu fender!

Yeah I know it's the typical shortscale vein, sorry to call you out and make an example...it's just that "Jizz on your faces" was a bit more colorful than "bonartown" or "fapfapfap" usually is.
I know a bit where you're coming from, some guitar shops definitely are gear snobs for specific companies....Gibson generally holds a higher profit margin than Fender so they might be pushing it for that. Still, I wouldn't compare Gibson to Fender, the guitars aren't even similar in design.

I definitely wouldn't count those chickens just yet.

THIS
Aye. I was expecting something Aerodyney even.
Or even something like a highway one or a relic job....blacktop either implies that it is black on top, is made out of tar, or was dragged down the street.
