Got a trombone! I'm super excited. I already play trumpet, but this will be new to me, using a slide and whatnot. I figure the more instruments i learn, the more useful i am (less of a waste of space)
anyhoo, it's just an old beat up Conn, but I'm getting some good tones out of it.
This will make it:
Guitar
Bass
Drums
Piano/Keys
Ukalele
Mandolin
Trumpet
Dulcimer
and now Trombone!

Who else plays horns or woodwinds?

Also, to whomever gave me the advice about putting my trumpet in a warm bath, it totally worked

I'm just about to go into 9th grade and I've played tenor and alto sax, bassoon, and tuba as of now. And the usual guitar/piano/bass, but that isn't band related.

I took trombone lessons for about 6 weeks when I was about 7(?)

A part of me kinda wishes I hadn't given up because it would have probably been really good for me from a musical standpoint (I can't read music quickly enough for it to be useful or recognise notes or nuthin')

However, most of me is like "FUCK YEAH GUITARS!"

I was originally gonna switch from alto to bari, but my "low-frequency" obsessed friend shoved me out of the spot. He's a bassist, I guess it makes sense.

I would like to learn another instrument but not trombone. Maybe trumpet or violin.

They do sound horrible if you can't play them though. It means my family would have to put up with the tortorous act of me practicing.

I played trumpet for like 3 years or so. I'd love to play again, but I doubt I ever will.
I'd love to learn cello tho. Love the sound of cellos behind acoustic tunes.
We've got a load of violins on a tune on our record and live I play the notes on a guitar but it really don't sound as dark or ethnic. I doubt it would be viable to play these on a violin live anyways. plus We have Enough gear to move as it is.

Now that I'm finished my degree I suppose I should get on with learning a few other instruments. I used to play the flute, and have a flute that I should get good on again. I also have a violin that I was given for my 20th birthday that I haven't had time to learn. And I've nicked my brothers mandolin. Also, I'd like to be better at the harmonica.

Most of all I'd like to play the accordion.

I should probably get good at the piano again. Dunno how good I want to be though. I used to be good, but it involved practising for about an hour a day, and I don't have that sort of time anymore.

I play a bit of flute, tin whistle, duduk, fife and some other misc. whistles. Wish I could say I was kinda proficient with any of them, but, well, I'm not

Me too. I bought a violin a few years back but never learned... it's a painful instrument to inflict learning on other people, and I haven't had a space to learn where I didn't feel bad about the noise I was making and offending those around me. I ended up selling it a year or so back.

Cello is one of my favorite instruments, and I will have one some day.

I used to play the clarinet pretty well when I was little (was offered a place in the Devon Youth Orchestra, no less), and was a demon on the descant, and then the bigger, recorders.

The clarinet has always appealed to me (sound wise) but I find the amount of button-valve-thingys a bit intimidating.
