I may actually be able to afford a jazzmaster now. EXCITE.
Also benecol is right about the whole sonic youth thing. I couldn't but think that all that fender did with those guitars was just remove almost all the controls and charge you twice as much.

this is my recurring nightmare of something like that happening to my blue strat.Haze wrote:

have you finished setting up my strat?
no, we've made it play worse than before and we decided to add humfuckers and old hi fi knobs to it for no reason other because you didn't ask us not to fuck with it.

Oooh, something Aerodyney would have been teh sex! A Jag/Jazz with the Aerodyne aesthetic would be hot as hell... little tough with the radiused top, but it could work. Mind you, I own an Aerodyne Jazz Bass and Telecaster, so I might be biased

I was kinda expecting the aerodyne vibe too. Am a little disapointed with the lack of trem on the jag. Definatly interested what the route is on the upper horn of the jazzmaster. And what pickguards will fit. I'm guessing the classic player. I'm Definatly looking forward to playing the jazzmaster the most. I think the jazzmasters gunna have so much Potential for mods. Can't wait to see the threads in the project section!Ankhanu wrote:BacchusPaul wrote:Aye. I was expecting something Aerodyney even.Nick wrote:THIS

It says gloss in the specs but they look more satiny.
I would have rather seen an expansion of the Squier CV line with offsets for $350-399 retail.
Fuck these.
Truss rod acceess and Grover-esque tuners on an offset has never looked right to me.
It screams Chinese Jagmaster.
I'm still gonna go try one for that kind of dough, though.

Thanks, Hotrod. Apparently I am blind today. Must be all the nitro I have inhaled todayhotrodperlmutter wrote:judging by the note in the specs, i'd say 3-ply mint.

The 3 ply mint on black is really hot. I am going to have to check that out in stores.

Mages, where did you get that picture? It doesn't match the Jazzmaster in the flyer. Your picture has the traditional Jazzmaster tremolo spacing while the flyer is more like a CP Jazzmaster. Is yours photoshoped?Mages wrote:oh man, I'll take the black pg + sunburst plz.

Funny how the picks look put together on photoshop.. they dont bother to picture their guitars, they just combine pictures of parts..
The stratocaster looks super 'put together on computer'
Anyways, I really like the jazzmaster, and its in my price range.. I would recolor it thou..and put an mute bridge on it, if it would fit.

If you're talking about the pictures from the from the first page then I agree with you. The pixelation around the edge of the guitars and not on any other parts of the picture make it look suspicious to me. If this is a scan from a catalogue like someone mentioned earlier then it'll have been a mass printed catalogue and I'm guessing will have used CMYK printing which you'd be able to see in the scan (the colours being made up of dots rather than solid colour)izodiak wrote:Funny how the picks look put together on photoshop.. they dont bother to picture their guitars, they just combine pictures of parts..

but I may be and probably am wrong as you guys seemed to jump on the Squier jag bass being fake.
If it is real I don't think I'd be interested in any of the models, they all look a bit tacky to me
