Laney AOR 50 Combo

Post by Sloan »

Yes. I finally traded that piece of shit Mesa Boogie Nomad for a Laney Pro-Tube AOR 50 1x12. It's fucking rad and I'll post clips and shit asap.

Great amps. I've got a Series I AOR 100 Head. Only a Matamp is going to replace this monstrous fucker.
(hopefully in October)

How does it compare to the Tony Iommi Laney you had?
One of my workmates has been eyeing up one of those and I'm curious myself.

Ahhh, takes me back to (chubbier) days of math-rock in a converted barn.

They're like hotrodded JCM800s, aren't they? I think Rhys said he used to have one and he loved it.

Sweet amp...My favorite of the Laney's..had a GH50. Sold it cause the AOR is just smoked it IMOP...Did you try a boost or od in front of it with the gain on the amp pulled back,,,The clean side of the amp is pretty good also.. ~(bravo)

I think the combos are 6L6 too, although the heads use EL34s...
