the tone/volume buttons on stratocaster look strange..
and the humbuckers on the strat have a strange shade..
funny that a guitar company cant afford to make sum pics.

I thought you had found an actual picture of the guitar.

I have little trouble rationalizing most in this collection and am tempted to praise the price points, but the blacktop Jaguar in the other thread looks guitarded.

I'm with those who see mega potential in the Jazzo model. Especially how it seems to be in prime condition for a baritone neck and various bridge pup options, I certainly don't need one but would jump at the thing for kit's sake. Who knows, maybe an ABS bridge and some funky string showhorning on the tail end would prompt the purchase of a jangling Warmoth hockey stick:

I guess I'll put this here too.

After seeing the original thread with the other models at HC, I would have never guessed these could be real. The images look like terrible Kisekae hack-jobs, and the copy seems to have been edited by a fifth grader. Perhaps this is just how they do things internally at Fender, but damn.

I suppose in a world where Squier has put out that absolutely fuck-ugly Jaguar bass, anything is possible.

I'm also not sure how they could truly be $450, as that would make them even cheaper than the Standard Series Teles and Strats. It seems more likely they'd sit somewhere between the Standard and Classic Player Jag/Jazz models, but I guess we'll see.

It's also extremely annoying that the OP at HC -- the same guy who leaked the Squier Jag Bass info -- doesn't offer any insight into the source of this stuff. Perhaps it's a shill at Fender responsible for all of this crap, with the intent being to just throw some good-enough mockups together and get them into the wild to gauge the community-at-large's response. If they're a flop, the only backlash is some faceless forum poster losing credibility; if they're a success, they've got months to chuck together a few new drawing packages and release to manufacturing. There's nothing new in any of these models from a design perspective (except maybe pickguards), so it's not as if they have to tool up for a new batch of anything.

It's just an antsy dealer. Every Fender dealer gets these emails with cut sheets on new products that will be coming out so that they can get them on order. No conspiracy.

I've never reallllly considered ever buying a Jazzmaster but I could definitely do with one of these, I hope they aren't really lame quality wise.. Pickup configuration is cool too, a nice big grunty humbucker in the bridge position and that shit is good to go. Maybe a gold pickguard...

Trying to find British prices, but no word yet.

This thread has got me thinking about Jazzmasters again and making me remember that I really want the Mascis one.

A place down the street from my work was blowing them out at $700 this weekend.

Such a good deal... still sooooo much more than I can afford.

In case anyone else missed the additional poasts on HC and TDPRI: Prices that make your go HMMMM.

The "coming soon" caveat is in place, but I reckon there's a good chance we're closer to the reality of a $450 price tag.
