Custom made small multi clone all in one pedal board to go?

Post by 24HRS2MDNT »

Based on another thread with suggestions of clone worthy pedals.

I know, I'm doing it wrong but what about an analog multi-effect unit made of your choice of pedals?
Custom small pedal board that comes in its own case. Rugged and road worthy.
I'd take a Comp, silicon dist, phase 100, delay that had a hidden ps, handle on the back, and a lid. (not that kind of lid)
Hmmm ... secret compartment may be a good idea too. For tuning forks obviously.

Chris Rea uses something like this, or he did when we were setting up for him. Despite being housed in a handsome wooden case (kinda Moogish, sort of), the original knobs were still there, so a guy I work with and I were able to identify a few of the pedals. There was a Boss delay, as well as a three knob boss, likey a Blues Driver?

I recall a thread some months ago with a guy from greece or somewhere abroad that made clones of pedals and housed them in s similar manner.

once when i was looking through google images for a particular pedal (i've forgotten which one), i stumbled onto a site with pedal boards from folks in russia, and everyone had their own custom jobbies. they actually affixed the pedal guts to a board, and had the knobs and everything through, with fancy labels (some none at all!).

i wish i could find that god damned site again. every single person had a 'tube driver' on their board, which leads me to believe it was some gilmourish type site.

Sounds likely, given that Gilmour uses/used a Pete Cornish board of that ilk:

^^^ Exactly. Should ask if he can put a power supply inside. With something like that I could just use an SKB type case.
