my bronco beauty

Post by broncobuster80 »

Its for sure roadworn but I love it... the pick up in it is a new fender noiseless and the pots/input are fender replacements but I have the original electronics saved back as well. It was white of course but it has yellowed out to perfection (haha or imo anyway).. ummm factory tuners, knobs, guard- I do have the trem 'blocked' (yes I have all the parts saved back as well to return to factory).

Its not in perfect shape but I love its look.. so here it is!

BTW ( thats not a crack in the headstock ) ( yes I did break a string right before taking the pics haha)

also, don't lose the trem parts!!! =) they are hard to find and they don't make them anymore.

thanks :D ! I got an Ampeg Dan Armstrong case (the first run) with it but would love to find an original case for it. Do you guys know of anyone online that sales the vintage cases? on same hand, any online shops that buy vintage cases? (would be cool if I could just do a trade with an online shop case/case

Yeah, I actually have the original pickup and the cover and its black... kinda throws a cool look with the open white on it though

Fender Bronco is all the guitar you could ever need.
I love mine.

And you didn't need to block the trem, they're really stable.

The first shortscale I lusted over was a red Bronco (in "The Buddy Holly Story"). There's just something about those small bodied lil' so & so's. ((thumup)

I need to get a white on black MM and have spy vs. spy guitars haha! Those guitars you guys posted are beautiful as well and thanks for the great words.

I took it with me to the practice space today and played it through my 70's marshall 2x12- its the first fender guitar that I've paired it with that actually had some magic.
Ive heard folks say that Duosonics mimic broncos and mm's but that is wrong, Ive got a duosonic and its got its own flavor.

Thats beautiful, I got a red one a few months back, love the way they play, The trem stays in tune pretty well even with not blocking it, I do a lot of behind the nut bends and use the trem a lot too, and it stays in tune every time. Love it dude.

The black on black ones look fantastic. I quite often change between think this guitar is visually over-rated and under-rated.

So I let one of my guitar students play it today and she was all "WOW" its a million years old hahaha. Good stuff. The red ones are awesome as well.. still say I need a black one 8)

As far as the pickup cover goes, its white .. its a fender noisless. Its just got kind of a chrome look on the photos.. I will be doing a demo of the animal tomorrow (or so I plan) and I will let you guys know when I post it up.
