Fake Mustang on baygermany

Post by jagsonic »

Whats that? A blurry photo from the front of the guitar always makes me skeptic...
So i was looking very interested on the other shots. What is this kind of body?!? Never never never an original fender body, or?

Fender Mustang?!?!?!

Looks kinda like a Duo Sonic with a Mustang trem . However most likely some type of clone .

Looks terrible, the scratchplate doesn't fit at all, it looks like a strat body.

A Duo-Sonic II with a Mustang trem is a Mustang. It's the only difference.

However this guitar looks real, just molested. Without reading a translation of the description I'd say it's a '65 or so body that someone has added a contour to, and changed the shape of the horns. The pickguard is also not original but the way it's shaped it looks like it was made from a tracing of the shrunken original.

Whatever it is it's not worth €675.

it looks 70s to me at first glance, though obviously hacked up and refinned... no serial on the neck plate, metal button tuners (although fuck knows what they are, the picture's so blurry).

either way, avoid. the guy's tripping hot balls with that price.

The pickguard looks aftermarket to me. I think it looks wrong because of that hackjob of a lower horn it's sitting on.

It has no slide switch holes, it's aftermarket for sure.

I actually had a guitar just like that when I was in highschool. mine didnt have the pearloid guard though and said "S-2" on the headstock instead of Fender.
Mine was same color and all.. and it was a PILE

if it's a Mustang body, then it's been terribly reshaped. And somehow ... can this be a strat neck?
