Haze, is it your goal to have every CV tele? I don't blame you. I am in love with the CV Tele thinline at Guitar Center. Though in pure sexiness, the Mustang wins out.Haze wrote:eyes glued to that cv tele

Yes it is the Classic Series '65, made in Japan.taylornutt wrote:Nice. Love the white with red tort combo. Is it a reissue?
I had 2 issues with the guitar which I have been working on in the mean time.
First I had an area on the pickguard (see pic) which caused an irritating scratchy ticking coming through the amp, caused by static electricity.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Whenever I touched that area with bare skin the ticking started as if a spark was ignited.
All other spaces of the pickguard, pick up covers and metal parts, no such problem - only that particular area.
So I asked my son to put his bare fingers on that area, and nothing happened, as silent as a grave.
I do not fancy playing with mittens so I went looking for a solution which was finally found by putting adhesive "window" foil under the plate. Problem cured.
Next I fixed the bridge.
The movement of the bridge was such that it keept throwing the guitar out of tune and the intonation was all over the place.
But now that the bridge is stuck solid that problem is history too.
The only job left is grounding the bridge plate, it is a sniff too hummy.
