Can't Fender make up any new names? They already pulled Starcaster out of retirement.
Oh hey they've got a solid state amp called the Jazzmaster too. Ho hum.

Those are really nice little amps, but yeah, they could have come up with a different name.

they look quite good
they seem quite useful for a beginner with a budget (and maybe thats why its called the mustang...cheap and aimed at beginners)

Fender will literally wring the mid-life-crisis market until all the bones are powder.
I can't wait for the Harley-Davidson/Eric-Clapton/Sunburst/Relic/60th-Anniversary Strat.

What? This is a beginner amp, for beginners who are kids. That's why it doesn't cost any money and sexually mates with computers and ipods.

And it's got OUTRAGEOUS distortion!!vAnd also an outrageous lack-of-middle control.
Does look pretty neat for the coin, although it's slightly weird they'd include more effects than are accessible from the amp; some not-so technology savvy potential customers are sure to feel slightly hard done by.

This actually looks nice, specially if the amp sims sound decent. the usb thing lets you record sound, or is it just for messing with presets and effects?

they had to become competitive in the low end modelling amp market. the software thing is a cool idea, that makes it 2-3 Vox products in one. Nothing for me, but still a bold move - if it sounds good.

master volume knob for 99 bucks. im sold.
this thing is pretty much a POD or a VAMP, with a power amp, and a speaker, and a computer hook up, and amplitube, for the same price

i just watched the intro video, it seems like a pretty good deal to me for £108. i'm considering picking one up for bedroom duties and recording, save pissing around with microphones fo' sho'.
