here's some pics of the innards of an ibanez rocket roll: http://www.guitarattack.com/flying_v/flyingv1.htm
at first glance it doesn't appear to be the same guitar at all though as it doesn't have the front mounted jack.
Flying V, it only took me 13 years...

Thanks Mage, i looked at these pics last week, the routes look almost identical but like you say the jack mount is'nt there. The headstock looks right (Tokai's does'nt) which makes me wonder if mine was an Ibanez spin off like Antoria, Cimar, etc. before they started mounting the jack on the bottom wing maybe?Mages wrote:here's some pics of the innards of an ibanez rocket roll: http://www.guitarattack.com/flying_v/flyingv1.htm

A few people have commented on the finish. I stripped this down, stained it with clear danish oil to enhance that mahogany, then rubbed briwax into it with .0000 wire wool. I'd read somewhere Patrick Eggle used a similar finishing process on some Berlin models, one of which i owned and liked the finish.
