danelectro U2 template???
anyone know where I can get one? I know where to buy a template from, just thought someone may have seen one around the net for free.
(dont want to pay100 for a template when I can buy one of the guitars for 250)

I almost started building one of these a little while ago. I was going to do it with P90s, and a strat neck. By the end of it, it would wind up pretty different. However, even if the cost would be close by the end of things, I would imagine owning a wooden danelectro would be kind of nice. I'd rather a nice woodgrain over the funny particle board.

You know will.. Im a complete dumbass, when I said yes please I didnt think about the fact that I actually have an old one in the never-ending closet. I dont want to take it apart (mostly to it being old as dirt and Im afraid of striped screws etc) but I can jjust trace out the body without taking it apart. Ive been thinking and pretty much ill be building one with different arrangments on the pickups, scale length and pickguard. At first I was looking to get a full temp for the neck pocket dim's etc. When I get started on it Ill use this thread for the project thread.

Me and my wife have the "pass it on" collection going.. it along with a couple strats, offsets, v's and other guitars/amps/pedals are being passed down to our two girls. Its in super great shape so I think (right now) its worth holding on for her... With that being said though with me and her both playing guitar (among other stuff) and loving to get ahold of new gear the collection is getting to the point where its really to big to hang on to- at some point Im sure some of it will go either in trade for something else or just to put cash in the girls savings. Will wrote:Would you ever consider selling it? I'm a huge nerd for old Danos and I'm always after a good project.
I will be sure to let you know first if the dano gets ready to leave the family
