Apartment Amp? - Vox Pathfinder 15R IMPORTANT UPDATE
Moderated By: mods
The Vox showed up at my parents house today. Clocked out of work around 1am so I picked it up from my folks', ran back to my place and gave it a quick go on the quietest audible level out of the speaker, then plugged in some headphones. It seriously sounds like an ac15, the Gain and Volume work great together, gets that great clang and great vox signature chime on the cleans. The gain boost is eh, alright I guess. IIRC I read somewhere that the footswitch controls the Tremolo and the Gain Boost, not trem and reverb. I suppose it could have its use but you would have to have the gain and volume set just right to not have the boost make things crazy loud.
So far its only been the Tele straight in, no pedals or Jag action yet. Loving it so far. Its already surpassed my expectations in the first few minutes of having headphones plugged in.
I wonder if i could run my pedals in stereo between this and another amp with a headphone out, and then build some sort of AB/Y box but for 3.5mm jacks intead of 1/4" for STEREO HEADPHONE ACTION

Thumbs up for the Vox Valvetronix.
I have a Vox Valvetronix VTX 60 watt.
There is switch at the back where you can turn the watt output down but still get big gain.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
KEEPS UP WITH LOUD DRUMMER IN SMALL ASS ROOM
Gain at noon, Gain boost on, Volume at 10-o-clock
HOLY FUCK, roll back volume for cleans, full on for sexy times

Was the first time practicing with a full band in a long time and brought the Pathfinder for portability and to stretch its legs a bit. So glad I picked this as my apartment amp. YouTube videos where I'm plugged into the Vox get compliments on how good the Bassman sounds because thats the amp people see in the background.

It's looks like some kind of Accutronics or a derivative without the protective case attached. I put a new Accutronics in my Sound City as the stock one was cack - it's now the same style that's in a Twin, DR or HRD etc. You just have to the check resistance and grounding on your current one. You can then choose springs and delay type to what you want. Costs £20, though I'm not sure you'll have the room in there or not.
