Cool ass straps. Any colour would do me, but the green is uber nice.

How much are they though? Probably more than they should be.

Those straps do look awesome, but $38 for a strap is retarded!

The Couch straps would damage lacquer, though. Silly hippies.

As all the guitars I play with are not finished with nitro (the les paul being the exception and the fact that it's next to go and I never play with it anyway makes it a moot point), and I use schaller straplocks anyway, and I am vegetarian and don't like using leather when I can avoid it, I'd go with the couch strap.

However my pleather Get'm sergent strap is all I need.

Vinyl eats lacquer, varnish, shellac, etc. It can be volatile stuff.

I personally don't see the reason for vegetarian straps. The cow dies anyway for the meat industry - it's just using all the parts. Better that than waste.
And if you really have to go veg, I say Souldier. Cotton FTW.

I have a Couch 'Racer X' strap and love it. The guitar I have it on isn't nitro though.

I've got an old Kodak camera strap that I've been meaning to adapt into a guitar strap.
Just like the one below but stinkier.

Maybe get a bedazzled MISS TEEN USA beauty pageant sash and rig it up ... or not.

Old tie style? Maybe if you're in Weezer?
Lots of this kind of stuff to be had on ETSY.

Maybe ask your Nanna?

these are actually made not too far from my house. when the black keys came through last, dan bought 4 of them!

i haven't bitten the bullet and snagged one yet, but i'll be having the dude make me one like my purple rosette one that was my aunts when she played acoustic as a kid. i use it on my dot atm, but it's too short.

Probably the coolest of the lot. I get the feeling that the website doesn't cover all that they have on offer.

It would be cool if they posted a few pics here of what they have right now and offered forum members a discount.

I know Lucky straps offers a discount on multiple strap purchases.

(I am in no way affiliated with either company and this would be completely up to the Mods. ... and the Rockers.)

Any recommendations for a comfortable strap using an 8 pound Tele? I didn't know anything about straps and bought a Levy cotton strap. It provides no relief at all from the weight of the guitar and the Comfort Strapp is ugly and looks bulky.

The wider the better, really, to distribute that weight more effectively. That or sand a few millimetres off the back of the Tele..

I use a 3 inch wide levy strap, it cured the problem of my guitar being too heavy.

Issue I have now is that the levy strap is too long, so I might buy a planet waves padded comfort wide strap, in black.

I could always just man up and get one of the cool straps I posted. I'd have to put up with a bit of shoulder ache after playing too long though, and thats probably not too healthy.
