Forgot who makes it but don't really care. It has a fake rickenbacker truss rod cover lol.
Legal Rickenbacker copies

What's a 600 level guitar? Price you mean? If so I don't think the Indies are worth that. You're paying for the shape and the fact that Rickenbacker has an iron fist on the copy market. If you've got $600 to spend on a guitar scrape together the extra $400 or so and buy a used Ric on craigslist. You're talking about a guitar you may have for the rest of your life. If cash is so tight that you can't make a solid investment in a Rickenbacker then you should consider spending even less on your guitar and using your money for more sensible things.
Seriously that copy I just posted was more like "300 level" (used) and I'd be willing to bet it plays looks and sounds better than those Indie guitars.

lol I was wondering if that's what you meant
Yeah seriously, I would love a 620 style guitar....my local RIC dealer gets in every RIckenbacker semi-hollow ranging from $1400-$4000 but I've never once seen a 620 or 660 there. I'd love to play one, maybe I'd even buy it. IIRC the 620 is the cheapest model they make. But yeah, I've never seen a copy of one, for some reason I just don't think they're "iconic" enough for there to even be a market.
Sorry for the gear snobbery....it comes naturally with owning a Ric

TRUE SPEAK. no need to apologize.Nick wrote:Sorry for the gear snobbery....it comes naturally with owning a Ric
MAN, the 620 is damn fine. It reminds me of the 4001 but a sexay geetar.
I really really want one. It really is the cheapest?
The .pdf pricelist thing on there site says MRSP on a 620 is $1829, do want.
Hopefully fake ones, if they exist, are cheapie.

Musicians friend emails you the price of about $1400 if you request it. At the same time they tell you a 330 is $1800.
My local ric dealer sells 330's all day for about $1400 with case. So I would assume if I were to buy a 620 through them it'd be about $1200.
Also they can be had for about that on eBay quite often.

Here is a Combo 850 on Ebay $8500 BIN (Link)Nick wrote:Yeah, I realized that after my initial statement of thinking I could find one for less than the Fano. For some reason I was thinking they were in the sub $2000 range like many of their other vintage single pickup models. I still think $2500 for a copy is absurd no matter who's making it (besides Rickenbacker).westtexasred wrote:Well those are worth a whole lot more than a grand, closer to $5000 or more and the Combo 800 and 850 go for $8,000 to $12,000.Nick wrote:Yeah I always liked those supros too.
The Combo 600 is beautiful but to be honest unless I saw one sitting in a shop for under a grand I probably wouldn't buy one.
I wish RIC would just step up and start making some of these old designs themselves again (if they're still legally able to at this point).

Those Greco copies are gorgeous.
True story bro:
I bought a Rickenbacker 360/6 for €400 in 2008. I liked it but I what I really wanted was a Jetglo 330. So I sold the 360 for nearly €1000 and order a 330, they were €1000 or so at the time. Right after I ordered it I lost my job and cash was tight. Now that I'm working again websites are asking nearly €1800 for Rickenbacker Jetglo 330s.
Sadly no Greco Rickenbackers on eBay right now

One of those Greco copies would probably cost nearly as much as a Rickenbacker(if you could find one).
Heh,check it out this Japanese movie from 60's with it's fuzzy Rickenbacker soundtrack by The Mops

That scene from this movie has been implanted in my mind for years. That was really the reason I bought my 365

I wonder if those Tiesco amps had a built in fuzz?

I think there is some confusion because the provide.net guy has an illustration where he labels a guitar that looks very similar to the one in the ebay listing as a Combo 800. but if you look at the specs he has listed 1 pickup = 600, 2 pickup = 800 and the 650 and 850 have the increased bass side cutaway (as seen on the 850 WTR originally posted). so the caption for the illustration and the ebay seller must be wrong, it's a 600.DanHeron wrote:One pickup = combo 600 i thought. Which would make the one on eBay a 600... That's what wikipedia says but i know that could be wrong. What's the difference between the combo 600 and comboo 800/850?
does anyone know what these switches do?
