I know i just got done posting about how awesome superstrats are, but i saw this guitar and just couldnt resist. It's basically a modernized version of the les paul with a contoured weight relieved body and slim 60's neck. The previous owner replaced the original gold 490 and 498t pus with emg 85 and 81's. I really like the flame top with the trans-black, i believe it has more of a purple hue in person. Basically a no frills metal/hard rock guitar.

... this could, however, be Fran's ideal guitar.

No Tim, i dislike flash finishes and gold hardware. I know i have that quilted maple BCR but that was because it was cheap, i'd choose plain white or black anyday.
This is a very nice guitar though JJ, good score.

But the real question is: Does it have the versatility DEMANDED by one of the most versatile artists in rock?

It isn't really my thing, mostly because of the shape/color/pickups. Way too much like a PRS. Congratz though on the new guitar, man.
