Okay, you've just come off as overly negative in this entire thread about this, if it's not your thing that's all fine.

Thing being, I'm just happy to see Fender doing more variants on something other than a Strat or a Tele now, for years that's all it's been, and Shortscale has always been criticizing them for putting out "Yet another Strat" while neglecting their shorties. So they finally give some different models of the shorties and....well most of you were just crucifying them for it, when to some people this is the best one yet. Again, if they made them left handed I would own one of these, provided they played well.

well that seems to be a pretty lame guitar all around, but when they start selling for 200 bucks brand new i think i may pick one up and do some justice to it.

I like em . I didn't expect them to be that cheap either . Even if the electrics could be shit as long as the neck is good I'm all over it . The Jag is set up just how I wish a Jagmaster would of been . Now I just gotta sell a guitar or 2 to cull the herd .

Yeah.

I can just use it to try out some pickups and different crap

Blacktop Jag with Rebel Yell Bare Knuckles could be cool

I can kind of get behind the the simplified controls, but the colors are just utter crap...and uninspired.

I still wish they went with the other decal

Other than that, I think its worthwhile, but I can't really afford another jag.

"imminently playable" maybe the douche bag statement of the year.

i know this might come over a bit patronising, but couldn't you organise something like an online petition and garner some signatures and send them to fender demanding they make a few models available left handed? it just seems like they're excluding a whole section of the population from buying their guitars, and maybe it just needs some well co-ordinated internet pressure to make them do something about it.

even on this forum there's a dozen or so lefties. if you could get a few hundred signatures... maybe they'd consider it.

edit: i suppose a signature doesn't guarantee a sale, and maybe they'd just laugh at you. i dunno.

I'm sure I could. The cynic in me says there's no fucking way it will do any good, and even if they did put out a lefty it would either be a piece of shit like the three models they already put out lefty (Two Strats and a Tele, I believe), or it would be just as nice but cost at least $200 more than the right handed model. $450 is a good and doable price for me, $650+ is not.

I guess I could shoot them an email, though. If I could find the contact info.

Actually, I know the answer to this one: left-handed people tend to be more artistic and creative, thus having a more developed aesthetic sense, so clearly wouldn't buy such an uggo guitar.

True, why didn't I think of that. Clearly, those types only want the choice of a basic Strat or Tele.

I just fired off an email to Fender's Consumer Relations.

a combination of a Les Paul guitar and a bolt-on neck
*Coughs*

Sure. He seemed to be struggling on the description from his own opinion. God i hate this guitar, it looks fucking dreadful and does'nt sound much better even with a decent player plucking it. Sorry Pens. I hope you buy one and prove me wrong.
