I really like my '56 Gold Top Epiphone copy thing I bought from Proggie. I feel reet rock and/or roll playing it.

I showed the guy a goldtop and he said he hated it. I knew the seed was planted though, and a few days later he came back saying that he loved them.

The name comes from Orville Gibson, they guy who founded the guitar company.

I played an Orville Firebird a year back or so. Excellent construction and finish, almost made me want to like Firebirds.


And while we're on the name, I've another ghost haunting my mind's architecture:

i own of the vintage les paul copies. basically a lemon drop without the lemon bit. gives me that classic les paul grunt and it's great platform for mods. they can be had for quite cheap as well.

Just spotted THIS. I know its not a Les Paul but it will get in the right ballpark and these supposed to be the dogs danglies. Possibly made on the same line as the Westbury's. 8)
