Anyone know what the vocal replacement track in the instrumental version of the Pixies' Letter to Memphis is played on?

They had heaps of guitars by that stage, both in studio and live.

Yeah, these were both contenders to my ear... I've played along with both guitar and my Hellcat VI... both have similarities, but neither sounds quite right

. Of course, my guitars are almost all single coils, which wouldn't capture a LP sound well.
