my first shortscale was a butchered '66 MusicMaster II. about 15 years ago.
now i got this one home.
oh man it's lovely.
ROCK MONSTA!
beat to shit. all original except for tele knobs (not me, but i kinda like it!) and missing strap buttons.
now loaded with "hendrix" .11s w/ wound G-sting. this bird sure sings. and it's about the lightest guitar i've ever had. and i though ALL late-70s were boat anchors.
thanks guys...
i kinda like the tele knobs now but yeah it might look KILLER with broncos. i THINK i still have one or maybe two somewhere... or i WILL pm for moar!
It's beautiful Pat (although I think you should change the knobs, and I'm visually trained) - if you ever sell it, remember your lanky Devonian friend x.
whoa i'm REALLY loving this guitar, but there's 2 small problems...
the intonation. i've screwed the saddles out as much as possible (only held by about 1mm) but the intonation is still a BIT off... why? and how can i fix this?!
and there's the usual problem that when i bend the strings a bit "too much" on the 15th fret (down to about 18) on the 1st and 2nd strings, the strings touch one of the last frets and the note "dies off". hmm... i'll try to hammer those last frets a bit more into the wood, then...
