Thanks for the answer. I had a fuzz a while ago that came with both silicon and germanium transistors and you could change them so I just wondered if the same was possible with this one. You can rest assured that I do not intend to do any monkeying around with the insides whatsoever, apart from changing the battery that is.

a fuzz face is on the list of things i wanna try. would you recommend the extra controls compared to a standard fuzz face, mike?

i mean early floyd in the sense of live at pompei, meddle, atom heart mother. So just after gilmour took over and before dark side of the moon.

The Fuzz Face model on the M9 is my weapon of choice, it's like the perfect balance between "fuzz" and "distortion" especially with the EQ controls the model offers- I'm sure the MBM one would be as flexible and badass.Progrockabuse wrote:a fuzz face is on the list of things i wanna try. would you recommend the extra controls compared to a standard fuzz face, mike?

I love that Floyd era, actually I love the era from Syd to Animals - not so keen on The Wall although there are some awesome songs on it. Echoes on Live at Pompei is the business.Progrockabuse wrote:i mean early floyd in the sense of live at pompei, meddle, atom heart mother. ^Peugeot Pagoda Red
Reminded me of a scene in a cheech and chong movie....
Lady to the Valet (played by Cheech) - "I have a black Peugeot."
Valet to other Valet (Chong) - "See ... I told you she wasn't a natural redhead."
... I wonder if Danny Trejo was ever in an old Cheech and Chong movie?
Anyways, my point is - these pedals always look so well put together.

Order list is getting long so I've been soldering my little nuts off all day long.
Clockwise from top left; Green Muff (skip), Green Muff with Tone Bypass (serfx), Slow Gear Clone (finboy), Saltbooster output stage for Slow Gear Clone (finboy), Bass Fuzz, Bass Overdrive. SInce this picture I've added wires to all of them and tested them. They all worked first time - now THAT is a good feeling.
