It arrived today! Had no idea I had to pay VAT on stuff like that from USA, but nevermind, still such a good deal compared to Mustangs here in the uk. DGNR8 shipped it wonderfully, neck still on, and packaged very well, thank you!
Here she is:
I wish someone had told me how nice the pickups in these things sound. Even with quite high gain it isn't feedbacking, it's bizarre. This is a true keeper, can't wait to play it at band practice tomorrow through all my gear

That could be the most beautiful Mustang I have ever seen. Love the aged Competition orange with matching headstock. Does the stripe go all the way around? If I ever make a Comp STang, the stripe will go all the way around.

Yeah it is sooo sexy! The stripe does go all the way round, I always thought they did anyway, but reading up recently has enlightened me that they don't originally, seems quite an odd design to me.
The neck is a lot chunkier than I expected, which is a good thing! And it's so smooth with the wear. I'll post some more in-depth pics tomorrow, I've had to leave her at home while I go to work

Vintage, restored to comp orange by DGNR8.
Does look funky, I think it did change a bit for the 70s though didn't it? I remember reading on here somewhere, someone commented on a music master talking about the 70s top horn.
Wang because the top horn had been altered into a protruding knob. I think I may have used a 72 as model to fix it. The orange one is a favorite out of many over the years. Some just come together.

Hehe, my Schecter Hellcat VI arrived the Friday before a long weekend too... I hauled ass over there to pick it up ASAP so I didn't end up in this situation "I know it's right there... I WANT IT!!
