Legend LMG-01 Mustang Copy

Post by chrislee »

Ok, now that I saw the K-On Azusa Mustang posted, I'm not ashamed to be posting more K-On inspired guitars. Does anyone have any info on THIS guitar? At 29,000 Yen it doesn't seem that bad, and it's made my Aria too if that means anything.

Here's a stock pic for those too lazy to click the link. And man, I wish shortscale had more Japan members!

I desire tha sonic blue one...

My roomate is going to japan over Christmas.... Hrmmm...

But at almost 400, I could surely buy a reissue used. Shit my 69 reissue was brodealed to me for like 350.

so.... it's going for a bro-deal price... brand-new. I'm gonna say that's a good price.

the body looks a little odd though. it looks like the 70s style neck pocket and cutaways but the butt end of it looks shortened. like the space from the trem plate to strap button looks shorter than usual.

The body shape is wrong, its not 100%. Still looks ok though.

Here's a Google-translated review of sorts, the only thing I've been able to find other than the retail specs and some 12 year old complaining that the neck is too large: LINK. Seems to be the usual "great features for such a cheap guitar" sort of thing.

Also, this page mentions "small size of the familiar body", which makes me think Mages is on to something.

Hmm from what I can gather from scandoslav's link, is that the neck is finished nicely, but the frets themselves are a little uncomfortable without a good oiling? And it seems like he's saying that it's reproduced with multiple Mustang years in mind.
