I cant believe i've never owned a Burns. Looks like my chance is slipping away too, they seem to be getting thin on the ground on Ebay except for the more expensive models. Have'nt they discontinued a few models out of the 'club series'?

aye, need to respray it and put new pickups in it, but just never seem to get around to doing so.

yup, good ol' plywood. it was a mate of mine's first guitar in the early 90s. it's been numerous colours, when i got it it was greenish black with loads of photocopied pictures glued to it. the neck's actually really nice.

Definitely. I love MIK necks, Toronado GT, Squier Pro Tone, Fender Lite Ash... they all had ace necks. These Squiers are certainly no exception.

Frankenstein w/ GFS body and pickups, tele wiring, MIM Classic '70s neck with U-profile and F-tuners (converted to 4-bolt). Super bassy and resonant.

2001 AV '57, 2TS, stock (including 3-way switch) except for circular string tree and rewired tone control (to affect bridge pickup). Sexy V-profile neck. My go-to guitar for cleans.

This is everything I like about Strats. I couldn't eat just one. Also quite pleased to learn my bedsheets are vintage mint. Guess I don't need to be as vigilant with the Fig Newtons.

get a Burns Fran. the Cobra is a really nice guitar, I played both the Squire CV strats and the Burns was way better and looked cooler (In my oppinion) it just feels like a quality bit of kit. I haven't played any of my other guitars since I bought it.
