Video: Line 6 M9 vs Hotcake, Lunar Module, Hoof, Teese RMC1

Post by NBarnes21 »

my first attempt at a pedal demo- I compared the distortion models on the M9 with the Hotcake, Lunar Module, Hoof Fuzz, and compared the "Throaty" wah model with the pedal it's modeled after, the Teese RMC1. The M9 got pretty close in some cases, not as close in others. Warning: stock pentatonic riffs inside

Saw this over at HC. The Tube OD has a bit more high end than the Hotcake, not in a bad way or anything though, very close. The Lunar Module rocked the Fuzz Face, too much low end and everything went flubbubbubby. The Muff PI and the Hoof both sounded great. Wahs sounded... like wahs

Cool stuff, although I think you'd really need to use a super-clean amp settings to make the comparisons a lil' more impartial.

yeah, I did the demo with the same settings I use my rig at. to me those pedals sound the best that way too, especially the hotcake (never preferred it with a clean amp).

Great Dem-o! Liking the Heuef Fuzz quite a bit. Amp settings are the way I'd use it. Nice bypassed sound on its own. Adds to the many other reviews / demos out there. Pedals should complement the amp imho.

... missing the early Pumpkins now.
God damn it! Its a Zombie Apocalypse. Do I have a baseball bat nearby?

I'll +1 this, but still - good stuff!
