fender jaguar serial number

hi, i am looking to sell my fender jag i have tried to see when it was made via the serial number but i can only find r+ 5 digits on fender wite and mine has r+6 they are R 08 98 30im not sure if its legit or not :S any help would be appreciated thanks.

try your luck here: http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx without telling us where it's made I guess nobody can tell you any better than that.

cheers, i checked that but it doesnt seem to find my serial, its a reissue but im not sure what year it is >.<

Is it Crafted in Japan or Made in Japan?
If CIJ, the R + 0 + 5 digits = 2004-5

yeah its crafted in japan, thanks for help i was just a little confused by the extra digit but that makes sence thanks :D

any basic ideas of how much i could get for this guitar? its in mint condition no scratches bumps chips etc anywhere on the whole guitar, its a right handed one too.

Depending on where you a based, would probably be easiest to do a search on completed eBay listings.
