AmpKIT
Another option for iPhone guitar effectivity.
It was only mentioned briefly in the amplitube thread so I though I make a thread about it.
Seems quite interesting, havent tried it yet.

I bought the iRig adapter (the first I heard about AmpKit was when the guy in the store says to the other one “I hear Peavey are bringing one out but it’s a bit bigger…) but I use it with AmpKit. I think AmpKit’s UI is much cleaner, and there is less messing around with levels and patches.
The iRig adapter is actually really annoying—the headphone jack is on the opposite side to the guitar jack, and the cable that goes into the iPhone is too large to use with the “Bumper case.

I bought the Peavey adapter today and I've tried it with both AmpKit and Amplitube/ iRig. I like that you can record clips in AmpKit, but I think the actual sounds are way better in Amplitude , also you get more free pedals with Amplitude.
Overall I think it's really cool and I could see myself never using a real amp at home again.
I'm just about to try it out with garageband and see how that works out.

Do they make any free apps like this for a Mac? (10.5)
I've searched around a little but usually they're no better than garageband which is terrible for actually changing the sounds of guitars and making them sound decent when going straight to the computer.

Here's some stuff i recorded on ampkit. I only used the free amp with a 4*12, and my actual pedals.
Half of the tracks is me just playing when i should have stopped :/

Oddly, AmpKIT keeps feedbacking on me, even if I turn volumes/gains down. Not sure what the deal is; Amplitube works just fine.

Peter has hinted at development of recording in Amplitube. I really look forward to it.
I would love to try out AmpKIT's recording (and other features), but I just have to play around with it more and make it stop squealing. I really don't understand where feedback could come from with headphone output, and no effects that loop back into the signal. It just makes no sense.
