It's back and it's juicy!

Post by Thom »

Since I started the thread about regretting selling gear I have had my heart set on getting an RV50H back as it was a total mistake to sell my original one. As they have recently brought out the MkII Rockerverbs I figured that I could pick up an original stock MkI for relatively cheaply.
Wrong.
Reading about the MkIIs it seems that despite the additional features they don't sound as good as the originals. After much ringing around and emailing shops I had nearly conceeded that it would have to be eBay. Even the one in Mansons went about 3 days before I went in to trade my Marshall.
I tried one last place, who said they were out, but the guy was friends with one of the people at Orange HQ. He rang and found that Orange had just 2 left at HQ - one orange one white :D
So it seems that I have got hold of the last orange one in the country!
It arrived on Thursday but I was up in London - such a pain! It's here now, and I am well chuffed - never letting this one go.

Beautiful! Well played mate, nothing worse than regretting something you've sold. Fantastic amp.

Yea I don't really like the white orange amps either... they don't look right. The black ones look ok, but I still prefer Orange.

Thanks all :D

Will do Rob and report back. Previously I couldn't find a dirt pedal to sound good with it, but not tried the FN5.
Anyway, will let you know!

Thom, the pedal that matched best with my old TT was, bizarrely, the huge box Dano fuzz - sounded great. Whereas it sounded terrible with my Champ.

Nope - biggar. The big one, the Mogwai one. You know. Burgundy.

(My mind isn't working because I'm high as a kite on Rescue Remedy and paracetamol.)
