let me see if i can pull the pic out.
I took shots of it at winter NAMM too. It looked lighter, like in the "action" shot above... and the headstock had that same 3 + 1 tuner arrangement too. There's a couple of pics of it in my winter NAMM show report thread over on Harmony Central.

I called Eastwood and asked about the price and release date since it came up in a thread over there a couple of weeks ago. I was told early October, and $399 "street".

the pickguard looks like something Aug would make freehand without tracing around the bridge.

the rest is ok but the part around the bridge makes this thing look like its a second hand frankenstein guitar

BUMP:

Warren Ellis used this on Grinderman's Later appearance over the weekend - sounds amazing, but that's because it's Warren Ellis and I love him:

BONUS BONUS BONUS

Yes, you did see a CV Duo-Sonic leaned on his amp. This renders him the best ever:

(also insanely jealous of Al, who is seeing this lot soon).

warren ellis could play a rubber band on a broomhandle and make it look cool as fuck, the bastard.

also, either nick cave's been at the shoe polish again or he's had a hair transplant.

I spent quite some time I) working if out if he was dyeing his nasal hair nowadays, and II) Trying to suss out if his guitar was even plugged in during Worm Tamer; think he was definitely playing Richey Manic style.

But yes, Warren Ellis is a genius. I read a fantastic interview with him where the interviewer started off with some sort of incredibly banal "So, what are your influences?" and Warren Ellis went on to describe how after a vision of Beethoven appearing to him, his life was changed forever. A saint, in my opinion.

If it's under $200 I would consider it to play around on. I'm not a fan of any of the eastwood's that I've played though. They've all felt like cheap chinese squier affitiny's or bullets, but with a price tag 6 times those guitars!

They're made in China and Korea - maybe they just made a shit deal with the factories. The prices are ABSURD for what you get.

Seriously, I thought companies were making guitars in china and korea to keep the cost down, why are eastwoods so ridiculously expensive?
