All told I think my shipping prices are more than reasonable. You pay the postage cost and I eat the rest, all the above stuff I mentioned I get nothing for.

Oh no! I definately think your prices are reasonable! I just figure that being a Canadian (with thos pesky socialist in power!) I will get hit with customs. And the Canadian dollar blows and it feels like i am getting slapped in the face when I convert to UK pounds...

I think it's cool that theres another pedalbuilder on this side of things.

Prog's case is finished. Needs drilling. I figured I'd just use my hand drill but I think that won't be stable enough to drill a clean hole. My dad offered to take it to work [airlinen mechanic] and drill the holes thankfully. Looking into a small drill press that I can keep at the apartment or won't take up too much space in his garage.

that ryobi one would be better matt, because it doesn't have that plastic alignment ring that tends to break. it's a real dickpull when it's busted and you're trying to drill a straight hole.

picked up a drill press and some stepped bits. Definitely want to go with individual bits from now on. The stepped ones are nice but if I accidentally go too far im screwed.

FROM NOW ON!!! Drill enclosures FIRST, then paint. Prog's mini footswitch got a bit of a rash from clamping the pedal down while drilling. I also managed to scuff around the led bezel somehow. Definitely shows that its my first. Possibly going over to my friend's place tomorrow and testing it out on his rocker 30. I'd hate to send it to rob not knowing if it even works.

ATTN ROBBB: I am more than happy to refinish the enclosure if you would like me to.



The starve breakout box turned out great. Very cool results with the Eau Claire Thunder along with the guitars volume knob/ECT's trim knob.


the first enclosure was drilled with both jacks on the same side, which was great, until i tried to put the washer on and realized that the columns that are there for the mounting screws are in the way. I'll have to chip away at it tomorrow and just keep that one as my personal unit.

That looks fine haze. I'm happy to have it as is. The dings don't look that bad. Can't wait to get this on my board, whilst my actual orange footswitch is ok, I'll be happier with this than a massive wedge of cheese!

What is the box with the black dial? Looks like a box I saw that you can use to adjust a modded DL4 without the effect pedal.

Its a mini Starve pedal basically. I can make a mini expression pedal that you can use for your DL4 as well.

I might actually be interested in an A/B/Y box down the road. I really like the one Taylor guitars makes, but it's kinda expensive. I like how there's will let you select the A or B while both are engaged so that when you switch it off you know exactly which one you will be switching back to.

Rob's footswitch was DOA despite it working fine with a rocker 30 when i sent it off. Oh, the woes of international shipping. I've ordered him parts for a new footswitch so I can do the finish up right this time around.
Also ordered some stripboard and parts for a FET booster

pedal news: I've built a booster, its super Makes the Tele/Pathfinder fucking rock through my bassman cab. Great for a buffer in front of the whole board, and of course a killer boost. I think I'll try another one with power filtering, since this simple circuit has none, and simplify the layout to make it a bit smaller and use 1 less wire and just jump lugs 1 and 2 together. And socket the BS170, I ordered two in case i burnt one out and thankfully didn't, but it'll make for easier replacement should one go out down the road.

It didn't work the first go round, but then after i took a step back and had a look at it i realized a diode wasn't in right. baaaaaaaackwards.

and a new iron, my old one has been used for car speakers and all sorts of good stuff

not the best, but its been working great.
