Hot Rod Vs Bugera V55HD

Post by DGW »

I'm thinking of going back to a Fender Hotrod Deluxe,,I have a Bugera V55HD but the fender seems to have more of a bloom or 3d effect to it..Is it worth it or am I just hearing things.

I am not sure if the quality difference is worth the price difference TBH. The hot rod is a lsightly better amp in my opinion, but double or more of the cost.

I've had both, albeit a V55 head, and I think I prefer the V55. However this may have something to do with my cab which I think sounds great. I did really like my Hot Rod though, I changed the speaker to a Vintage 30 and thought it improved the sound over the stock massively.

I just use the clean ch and run my pedals in front and for some reason the V55 seems to have a tingyness to it when set clean compared to the Hot Rod
