I just got a Boss RV-3 and I get no guitar sound out of it whatsoever. I swapped out for a new 9v and still get nothing? Are there any problems common to Boss pedals that I can check for?
edit: the "check" LED comes on as soon as I plug the guitar into the input it would seem the pedal gets power.

Ebay? If you want your money back from Paypal/the seller, you will most likely have to send it back first. Buy tracking/delivery confirmation as PP will want that. Insurance would be a good idea also. Unless the seller just gives you a refund of course.
I hate when sellers sell broken stuff and don't say it's broken. They most likely knew it was broken. I avoid auctions that say, "I couldn't test it", "it worked last time I used it" or "untested - sold as is" unless I'm ready to repair it as I just assume they are broken. On the other hand, I have bought "broken" pedals and they worked fine when I got them.

Well this is my first Ebay snafu in the many years I've been using it so I guess I had it coming. Seller actually listed it as working with cosmetic flaws (and I'm fine with cosmetic flaws). No where in the description did it say "oh, actually no sound comes out of this thing" so we'll see what happens. I still have the shipping materials (the seller did ship it quite well protected) so I can send it back without a problem.Bill Oakley wrote:Ebay?
