hey all, new here
joined because I just bought a MIM Fender Duo Sonic re-issue from '93 from eBay.
I'm waiting anxiously for it's arrival tomorrow and I'm borderline insane due to anticipation.
I've wanted a Fender since I started guitar when I was about 10, now I'm 16.
I gotta question:
how much smaller would a Shortscale Fender Duo Sonic re-issue be compared to a standard 4/4 guitar?
I bought it knowing it was shortscale but now I'm wondering if it will be too small,
and if I'd look like a noof playing a toy guitar
hello everyone, just bought a Fender Duo Sonic

It certainly doesn't look like a toy strapped on, but it is visually small. I found the neck a little too tight for chording but i was also just learning when I had mine. It's a great and unique sounding guitar though.Shout wrote:hey all, new here

Hi and welcome!
The overall length of my 2000 Mexican Stratocaster is 39"
the overall length of my 1960 Duo-Sonic is 37-3/4"
So although the scale is around 3" shorter the whole guitar is only 1-1/4" shorter and it's hard to see much difference.
But that's an old Duo-Sonic. The Mexican reissue might be some ware in-between.
