Tonika bass - 60/70's
Kavkaz bass- 70's

A small clarification: On top foto is the Tonika Rostov-on-Don factory (one of four different factorys) produced at 70's-80's only.
Kavkaz bass- 70's ...a very long and complicated story. Truly, that's not "Kavkaz" at all. Bass produced at Borisov factory 70's and called "Bas" (cyrillic "Бас") it means "Bass" in Russian (K.O. alredy was there! ;)

lal, yeah that was what spawned the whole thing.BacchusPaul wrote:I voted 2 because, well, it's better than 1.
Have we got pickups for it yet? Aaages ago I posted two P-90's to robroe for the dots gutiar, and they didn't fit or something. Rob might still have them going spare (although, given he's just moved house and all, they could be difficult to get at for him).
They were taken from a Gould Stormbird (a firebird ripoff). The guitar was shit, but the pickups always received good reviews online. I never played it having bought it for £20 as a fixer upper and then gutting it.
