Just got my first hollow body

Had the itch for a hollow body lately . I was talking to a guy on Craigslist and was gonna trade a guitar for a DiPinto Bacchus but he critiqued the crap out of my guitar to probably get some cash and trade but I didn't budge . In the end no trade . Well them fuckers at Guitar Center just HAD to build one on a route on the way home . I stopped in . Walked out with this :

I guess he can keep his DiPinto . :wink:

nice snag, is it an electromatic? I tried one of those the other week and was impressed with it. Twang machine!

Yesss, hollow body is the way forward. Wait till you play loud and distorted and feel the air flowing from the f-holes, you'll never look back!

Wellp. Had a change of heart on the Gretsch . Guitar sounded great with that sparkle I wanted but after looking and critiquing it I realized it just wasn't for me . Loved the sound , hated the feel . So I then said to myself : If I'm gonna buy a new hollowbody it was either this or

So I went back and returned the Gretsch and got this :

Let me tell you this . A much much better guitar . The make is so much better . Well built . Very well built . The sound ? It came with Duncan Designed pickups . That surprisingly sound AWESOME . They're supposed to be a remake of a 59 but they're more like JB . Great hot humbucker sound but when coil tapped they sound almost like a filtertron . I'm amazed . Grover tuners , Bigsby , nice fast fret board and most obviously the Kev Grey artwork is just fucking spot on . It actually is painted on . If not that is some print that mimics hand painting to a tee. Never thought I'd like a Schecter . My friends , if you like hollow bodies try a Corsair . Don't have to be the Porl T but just try one . It plays brilliantly . Holy fuck , guys . I wish you all can get a wail on this thing to see what I'm talking about . Leaps and bounds better than the 5120.
And the coolest part is it appears to be signed by Porl ( looks like it ). An honest to goodness engraved autograph in the nut cover .

looks nice and you seem to be full of praise enough to seek one out. All we need now is a demo :)

I've always been attracted to 335 type guitars, but the last semihollow i owned ( an epiphone supernova) just wasn't for me.

I had a quick look and saw it mentioned as semi-hollow. I think it's probably semi-hollow in the same way as an ES-335. They have a centre block that goes the full length of the guitar. Hardly any guitars like that are fully hollow which is why I asked. There's the Epiphone Casino, Hagstrom Viking and Fender Coronado, probably a few others but it's certainly a minority. It'd be nice if it was fully hollow because it's another option for a slim bodied one.

Here's a pic of a Gibson 335 being made with the centre block in place (the block being the part that looks the same as those in the top left, the rest is to hold it in place).
