Epi LP Jr DC

Post by SGJarrod »

ok, so I have wanted a P90 axe for a while....... I have never done a project guitar and that is a possibility as I do enjoy working with my hands..... the question is to buy or not to buy....this has been on CL for 2weeks now and I bet its still there just knowing how CL around here is..

Its a bolt on neck which is a down fall but I bet I can get it for under $100 and these are actually desirable older Epi.....Not sure about the "custom paint" but I could always sand it and paint it white.... 8)

Epi Les Paul Jr Double Cut

I figure a rewire with alpha pots, GFS P90, new jack and GFS badass bridge....

anyone have input or thoughts?

IF you can get for under 100 I would do.

Just because it is hot and a double Cut away.
If it ends up being like 150 I say bail. Go buy a Rondo or some other clone of a single cut jr or another like I plan on doing, they have set necks already and I feel like probably less moneys needs to be put into them.

I had one in tv yellow that I bought new around 10 years ago for about 200 bucks on sale. I could never get the thing to stay in tune even after replacing the tuners. I think it was a due to weak truss rod or something because I could bend the neck around at will to the point where the strings would bottom out on the fret board if I wasn't careful. I ended up smashing it on stage :}
I don't know if they were all made like that, but I've never given them a second thought since.
