Seymor Duncan Pickups!
Anyone else who has the original hot rail pickups here! What do you think of them? I have just ordered two of them, one neck and one bridge!

agreed, I had one in my first mustang. It sounded good for gain but terrible for clean. There's more versatile single coil sized humbuckers out there that sound better for both gain and clean.endsjustifymeans wrote:Had one in the bridge of my Frankensonic. Good for gain, little sterile sounding though.

The guitar had issues with sustain in general but decent enough if I remember. It did get a cool nasally sound when coil split though.weeping_moon wrote:how is the sustain in those?endsjustifymeans wrote:Had one in the bridge of my Frankensonic. Good for gain, little sterile sounding though.

I swear by Duncans . 3 of my 4 six strings have them and one of my 2 basses have em ( culled the collection some ) .
I had a Vintage Rail in my 51 . Not a Hotrail but a good pickup . Good sustain ( better bridge is more effective that a pickup though ) . I plan on putting Hot Rails or a 59 stack in my Stang . Then all my guitars would have Duncans . I would like that ....
