My girlfriend got me an Orange Crush BX25 bass amp for christmas! So awesome! I haven't had a worthwhile bass practice amp for a long time. I've been using a really crappy Fender Frontman that the singer of my band gave me when I moved to atlanta, I'm pretty sure the speaker is blown in it and it doesn't handle the E string very well at all. I was completely shocked when I opened this amp up today!! My girlfriend went to the shop with me a couple weeks ago to see what they offered me for trades towards the Rickenbacker that I have on layaway. While they were coming up with the trade values we just walked around the store and she pointed that out because she knows I really want an orange bass amp. She asked about it, and I told her it was a practice amp, and that it was way nicer than the one that I have right now. She went back there and bought it and completely surprised me with it!

That's what I have been using for my bass practice amp. It was left at my old house, and the singer of my band gave it to me to use when I moved so I could practice our songs since my rig is up in NC still. It doesn't sound too great for anything really... I'm pretty sure the speaker is blown though.
The orange sounds absolutely amazing compared to that thing! I really like it. I'm thinking about taking it apart and cutting the baffle to fit a 10 inch speaker though. It looks like there's enough room for it.
I think it sounds cool with a guitar and OK to plug my turntables into but I'm not overly keen on it's merits as a bass amp either. I figure this is a combination of it's low-endedness, small size and the crap pickups in my 2 basses.
Mind there's enough clearance inside for a bigger speaker above the existing one, as the amplifier chassis will be suspended from the top panel and hanging down a fair way.

Probably not. It's only 25 watts solid state. Unless you're playing in an acoustic band. It sounds great for practice though. I really only need it for my apartment. My band is in North Carolina and I live in Atlanta, so I have to practice, and occasionally record rough demo bass lines to new songs. It fits that purpose really well.
