he actually frequents a guitar shop in Galesburg, I handed him down a guitar for his 16th birthday and he somehow stripped out one of the neck bolts and had it fixed at some shop there......

it is a small world... I moved to STL and have became friends with about 3 people I grew up about 20 min from each other and none of us met until we were all here in STL

Hmm. That's pretty cool.

The only shops here are Music Makers and Cherry Street. I prefer Cherry Street.

Ohh... oh so nice. Honeyburst, the only flashy Gibson finish I really like. Looks great with the zebra pickups too, are they aftermarket ?

Jazzy so shiney !!! and the SG so casual ! Awesome collection...

that LP is lovely, looks really nice and how is that 50s neck different to modern ones?

Thanks bro...the LP is all stock, thats how the faded finishes came....Burst-bucker Pro Pu's...this is the best axe I have ever played for tone, the notes are perfectly clear and spot on...and well with the 50's neck there is copious amounts of chunk and sustain

The 50's is thicker, way meatier, gives you some thing to really grip, and since its thicker you get thicker tone too, more sustain..... it will sustain into feedback so beautifully **happy**

borrowing an SG special (EMGz) from portugalwillie for a spell. was wanting to buy it, but am sadly not getting on with the neck, as it's considerably larger than the dot. but what a beauty.

perhaps it could go in the favorite beaters thread, but this is my all-time favorite thing in the world. '65 sg special. i bought this seven years ago at a pawn shop for $900. some joker installed an awful floyd rose(?) bridge and a decentish aftermarket bridge pickup. it was already pretty worn-in, but then i ran over it. whups! a guy here in raleigh epoxied the head together and put a couple splints in it. the frets are almost not-existent. a filthy fucking guitar in my filthy fucking bathroom.

loaded the drums in my car...thought the guitar player (who was borrowing it that night) was taking it in his car. he sat it behind mine, thinking i'd see it and put it in the trunk. i didn't see it.
