I bought a Mustang I.
I like it so far.
I can't believe it sounds as good as it does. I haven't had a chance yet to get it set up with a computer yet, so I could get the upgrades and what not.

It seems like it's worth the money and time. It's fucking loud too.

Good stuff.

Happy New Year folks!

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with mine so far too.
I have had it hooked up to the computer and it offers a couple more amp options (ie. Champ), as well as more effects. You can control the amp in real time via the computer interface, or load up your new presets.

Damn sweet amp for $100USD/$120CDN.

Congrats on the new amp. Seems like its a hell of a lot better than all the other modeling amps out there for that price.

... but for me it's the II. Loud enough at all...

I have heard mixed things about them but have never gotten to hear one in person. I would love to hear them now though

The 4 and 5 are going to be very tempting. Will have to try to track them down to demo eventually.

The most tempting thing about the Mustang is the versatility for the price... that starts disappearing with the II, and I can't see it sticking around too well with the III-V.

For the II the price is totally okay. You get a goodsounding amp for sessions, jams and small gigs. And with the headphonejack its also good for practising at home.
I also have a vox da5 and i think the mustang sounds much more better - and with fuse you have a very big instrument for tousands of sounds.

I think, the III, IV and V would be more expensive and the question will be if its not better to buy a tubeamp with ONE good sound instead. I don't think, that i ever will change my JTM45 for a modeling amp...

I really dislike modelling amps.
I really like this though.
It's just a lot of fun.
I wouldn't go for the II, III, or IV; or the V even, because I really just bought it for the sake of having something small to mess with that could hook up to a computer. This suits the bill just fine.

So far so good.

My jazzmaster hums like fuck through it though, if I'm not using middle position. This bugs me, as it doesn't really do it all that much through my tube amp.

I'm in exactly the same boat, ZenJenga.
My wife got me mine for Christmas (I found out early), but she got me the II; we went back to the store and exchanged it for a I. Also picked up a SKB HSC for my Jaguar with the left over cash.

My Jag hums a fair bit through the amp too. It is a bit annoying.
