Anyone know what the tonal differences are between the Seymour Duncan Antiquity I vs Antiquity II for Jazzmaster?

The SD tonechart may help http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/tonechart.pdf

I thought you had both of these pups installed?

Thanks for that Johno. I have a set of Antiquity II JM pickups in one of my JM's and a set of Antiquity Humbuckers in my other one. I'm thinking about going back to a set of JM pickups in my humbuckered guitar though, I thought that one with Antiquity I's and the other with Antiquity II's would be a good idea.

Having looked at the chart, the Antiquity range isn't included. Comparing the info on each products' pages on the website doesn't yield any info either.

Call 'em up and ask. They'll be happy to explain the nuances, if there are nuances. They'll know better than any of us.

Or email, I suppose, seeing as how you're an international and all.

I researched the same thing for countless fucking hours regarding the Jaguar Antiquities I and II. From what I gathered on those, the Ant I pickups use Alnico 2 magnets and the Ant II pickups use Alnico 5. Again, this is what I read of the Jag pickups, but I suspect the same probably holds true for the JM pickups as well.

Some of these may be helpful.

Details from SD's site
Some info in a post at Offset
Very comprehensive sound clip comparisons at HC

I guess this is a pretty useless post, now that I've typed it. Please let us know if and when you hear back from SD.
