Welp, my original plans for this year was bagging a Gretsch baritone, but I think I'll get the Jazzmaster and a Dwarfcraft Great Destroyer instead.

The Jag has a 24" scale with a 22 fret neck. Does this mean it is not a conversion neck, but a traditional short scale neck?

ok...with this new info this could be a possibility for a new rocker

-Duncan Designed Pu's... big plus
-the bridge is not quite as wanky as I thought
-and no matter what I say I have truely wanted a butterscotch blonde axe foreva

$300.... wait to find a 20% off coupon..... $240.... I would buy it for $240

but I would gut it and put regular pots in it for sure......

The side view makes me less offended by the strat jack, but it would look so much better without it. I could even live with the Dano Bridge. I love the Fiesta Red and Butterscotch Blonde. I hope they sound good.

As much as I want a Duo Sonic or Mustang, I want the Jag. I'm hoping The Classic Vibe run has something to offer.

Aye, if they'd bring a Jag out with a gold anodised guard with all the usual chrome bits incorporated into it, with or without the proper trem, just like the Duo or the CV strat would be fucking ridiculous. That said, I'm still hoping to bag a cheap squier Duo at some point, too. That thing is silly nice.

Totally: Both the duo and the strat look fucking brilliant. Only think that could improve the strat is an oversized 70s headstock

I dunno actually, I used to hate the smaller Fender headstocks, but I think it looks just about right on that. It's probably the only strat I genuinely like.

Sunburst Jazz has a white pg that looks a bit weird.

They don't look as bad as I thought at first. The Jag is really still a Jagmaster more than anything else, but on the whole these aren't so bad. Concentric knobs are definite win.

I still can't dig the Jag. I mean, both models are quite stripped down, but the defining characters are completely gone from the Jaguar. It's the same complaint I have with the Blacktop Jaguar; no chrome, hardtail, no rhythm or strangle... It's an ok Jagmaster, but it's not a Jaguar.

Love the butterscotch Jazzy though.

If only there wasn't that infernal strat jack

If I had the scratch I'd get the Jag in a hearbeat. Be my tinkering guitar. Mmmhmm.

The strat jack isn't that bad. I'd be pissed if this were a Mustang though.
