the sunburst jaguar looks exactly like a jagmaster. except with a strat jack. I remember not liking the sunburst or tort guard on the chinese jagmaster that I had so I can't imagine liking that combo on this either.

I'm definitely going to have to set aside some money for when the jazzy goes on sale though!

hmm. i'd go for a CV tele in that case, but it's a pretty good price. they'll start coming down a bit once they're established too.

If Seymour be designin' some decent JM pickups w/proper bobbin height and wind, I think we'll have some lovely toanz to expect:

I was actually wondering whether or not to make a Jazzmaster baritone. That would be pretty awesome.

£225 in the UK suggests they'll be $225 in the US.

That's a good price in my book, Squier done good.

Yeah, I think the price makes these, really. If they'd been closer to £300 then they really would have seemed irrelevant as another £100 or so buys you a "proper" Fender Blacktop Jazzy with the proper bridge and everything. But these are actually a real budget alternative at last, and ones that can be modded fairly easily.

Just wondering; what are the JM pickups like on the Japanese Fender models? Considering the Squier has Duncan Designed pickups, is it in danger of sounding a bit better than the Fender?

Duncan Designed is pretty much analogous to "no name"
