Pawn shop stop

Post by hotrodperlmutter »

stopped by my local scumbag pawn america, and found a few odd gems.

$40 somewhat vintage Harmony Hummingbird copy - great shape, high action, sounded fantastic.

$799 Gibson SG Jr Special thing - mini toggley, open humbucker, stop tail, autographed by B.B. King (with C.O.A.) (note the bc rich and epiphone worn brown dot )

$179 Peavey Basic 60 - 2 Channels, headphone out, great shape, love the blue lines.

That's an old CMIC parlor on the left. I've seen them branded Oahu, Harmony, Supertone. It's probably from the early 40s.

indeed. That was an Oahu. I can't remember how much, but it played like shit.

Hazemms: I know what you mean. I went looking for a big headstock strat to get for the neck, and found shitty starcasters. D:

That'd be an SG-1. Nice little guitar, actually the first I ever owned, though I got mine for a bit less. They're kind of interesting - that toggley is a coil-tap. Strange guitar for BB King to sign.

$799 is WAY TOO MUCH for an SG-1 no mater who it is signed by..... $350-$400 is more like it
