Why you should own a EH Freeze

This is exactly what I had in mind for this pedal and I haven't actually heard it until this. Plenty of "ambient soundscape" players on youtube but this, the more practical use to fill in chords and sustain them almost like a piano uses.

the only thing about that stuff is, as seen at 1.47, if you make a mistake it sustains for aaaages til you can change chord and fix it.

i'd like to try one, but wouldn't buy it on the strength of any demos i've seen so far.

Just sounds like reverb to me

Outside of the usual ubiquitous fuzzes, this is the pedal I want most in the world.

More like selective reverb but varying the switch and knob can give plenty of different effects.

Is it so you can play sub-SRV pentatonic licks across mournful minor chord progressions?

I'm pretty sure you could use it like that in any style of music.

I can make the spaceship take off, land and crash, but I'm yet to master it just cruising along.

I personally really dig the Freeze, but don't know if the £90~ price tag is worth it.

Pretty much. The problem is that I think if you were to get one, it would then be indispensable for two parts of two songs in your set, and you couldn't get rid of it.

I think it's a great idea, though, and it's something that could be used with a lot more subtlety than in that video.

Have heard a lot of similar tales - reckon maybe they'll launch a v2.

I think the Nano stuff have teething issues...

I had two memory toys before finding one that worked.

The initial QC isn't very thorough & acknowledged that there was a bad batch.

Perhaps after the initial problems they may be made better that normal ?

Used in this context, I like it. Definitely a nice little ambient feel. As for the price, just get it used, I'm sure you can get it for a lot less.

that's definitely the best demo of the freeze pedal i've seen thus far. maybe musically it isn't everyones cup of tea, and i don't think it'd get a lot of use in a band situation, but it's a pretty need gadget.

i'm just stoked i've got it on my HOG :D
