Sadly its too late I've gone and purchased one already I'm just wondering what the difference between the
two models are besides the added XL to the one model I've yet to find any info that states a specific difference.

i love the ease of the double pedaled XL, but haze used to swear by the single footswitch version (now he's changed his tune...)

i love my XL, and the addition of a momentary footswitch for triggering the reverse is pretty cool/useless in a real setting. if i could do it again, i'd probably get the RC-50.

my gripe was the added cost for another footswitch and drum loops that i won't use. Reverse would be cool, but if you just want to loop your own sounds get an rc-2 and a double footswitch, BAM rc-20.
The Jamman's are so cool because you can store 99 loops instead of 11/16 and take them from an SD card to your computer so you can load up ones you need for a show or store those great loops so they wont be lost.
