Not sure what you are wanting. But it looks like birds eye maple as the type of wood.

Well it is just a figuring pattern that is associated with hard maple. Some times it is selected for and other times it is just there out of the blue on a plank.

Now I want to find a jaguar neck with a cool pattern to it.
