Before everyone on the forum starts bellowing "YOUR MIJ PICKUPS ARE MICROPHONIC, THEY ARE MICROPHONIC!!!"
A. I have a Wax potted Curtis Novak in the neck. Squealing should be a non-issue with this pickup anyway...
B. I wax potted my MIJ Bridge Pickup.
If it possible this is not due to the pickups? Just a shoddy wiring job by yours truly? It seems the squeal happens only when there is no output coming of the guitar, as I can get normal feedback fine while hitting the strings (as you can see in the video).
Eh? The squeal hurts my ears!

I'm not sure, but I do know one thing: that's real irritating! With this and your modified VD-1, your pep-pep must really hate you.
Try tapping on the claws and see if they make a ringing sound when you tap them.
Also, you are pretty loud and pretty close to the amp. I am not sure it's entirely unavoidable to avoid microphonic feedback in a situation like that.

I'll see who happens from afar, at band practice and report back.
Aye, does sound microphonic a bit. It seemed like it went away when you hit the switch. I'd check the grounds just to rule them out, maybe try shielding the cavity/pickguard?
I'm not sure if it would help your particular case, but its just a suggestion.
The info in this thread should put you in the right direction.
Cheers

The Mustang? I suspect it won't be as bad, as I think it's likely the claws in the Jag pickup -- that's why I was curious about the tap test. You may have to declaw them as aen said.cobascis wrote:ur mum's room.proroby wrote:Where does that ladder lead to?
Also, I'm getting another guitar on friday, I'll see if it does the same thing.
