tone czar openhaus. Its properly stupid in terms of veroboard. Very impressive build even for someone as seasoned as Mike. Tone Czar makes "end all be all" pedals with years long wating list, lots of knobs/switches and generally do sound damn good.

Just a basic crappy iPhone clip of the pedal, gives you an idea at least how it sounds and how powerful the 3 band active EQ is.

Just these from rapid electronics, they're the same as the original.

Thanks for the link. It's near impossible to find the numbered Bronco Style knobs that they used on the Starcasters, Fender Blenders, keyboards, and amplifiers. If I ever start building guitars it's good to know a modern replacement exists. I have a small number from eBay, but those won't last long at the rate I am going.

I'm actually really going to miss it. I was having loads of fun playing daft metal and Holy Bible riffs through it this weekend. *sniff*

Other stuff I did this weekend

Based on our chat about it last night I'm inclined to get hold of one when the funds allow. Looks very swish Mike! Also that black pedal with all the knobs is BADASSERY

+1 . I am looking into getting one and a IC Big Muff in the future possibly. Is the ToneBender significantly different from a Fuzzface? I am interested in the Zepplin tones as well as White Stripes sound hence the IC Big Muff.

I find it richer and fuller in its tone than my fuzzface but that is more than likely due to the fact it is germanium instead of silicon. they offer different sounds in my mind and it gives a lot of what I call early 70s fuzz by people like zep and t-rex. tbh, I would get all 3 if I was you and cover all bases

Hey, Mike. What would the cost and turnaround time be on a Saltbooster and a Box of Mike built into the same box? I've got both in separate enclosures at the moment, and I have a friend who likes the combination just as much as I do.

Hi,

Cheers for thinking of me, I can generally build the Box Of Mike Overdrive side for £75 and an added Saltbooster stage would be an extra £15, so £90 + P&P in one box
